Snowshoeing

Well I tried snowshoes for the first time since the SCA diagnosis.
Was a little concerned about losing balance and not being able to get up (without sitting there and taking the snowshoes off.)
As it turns out I actually felt a little more stable with the snowshoes on.
I guess the wider base helped.
Go figure.
Went out with Barbara.

We went on the Cheshire Rail Trail.
Troy section.

Just a short trip.
First time in a long time for me and the first time ever for Barbara.
Had fun and it was great to get out in the sunshine, so it won't be the last.

  1. Gary . . . it's wonderful to read that you had such a good experience on snowshoes! They do indeed provide added stability. Because of the added stability, I will often wear snowshoes on a hike even when the snow depth isn't really great enough to require snowshoes.

  2. John,
    It's a blessing and a curse.
It's going to be great getting out during the winter but now I don't have any excuse :)
